| Our school apparently has a recent lice problem but the school has not communicated it to parents. Is this standard practice in MCPS, not to communicate? I don't know if it's in my child's class, but the kids mix classes for specials and apparently it is in her grade.... |

| IIRC, it is standard practice to communicate with parents in the class, but not the whole grade. |

| In our ES they will tell the whole school, but no specifics as to which grade, etc... |

| Lice is all over MCPS these days. Chances are if you have a kid in a MC elementary school, someone at the school has lice. |

| I was told there have to be 4 reported cases in a class to send home a note at our school. I think that is a huge number considering there are probably many who do not report it. |
