We are new to the club. We tried out for the youth boys' teams. So far, we are happy with the coach: great communication, already starting some early practices and engagement. Also, has been very quick with responding on most of our inquiries. On the field issues, nothing too concerning for us. We are more focused on the coach: level of experience and professionalism over the field locations and/or conditions. Sorry for everyone who had a bad experience. Hopefully with the new staff they will continue with this new level of performance and keep pace with that level of expectation.

Good for you and I wish more people cared about this. Club matters less than the person coaching. Looking into the coach and then the players on the team should be the deciding factor not the club logo on their jersey.

There are fields. We wouldn’t have signed on if there weren’t. When everyone is playing on them next season, I wonder what you’ll talk about next?

It is true that we won’t have your compound with food and gym but we opted to focus on coaching for our kid rather than beer and treadmills for us.

How will you feel if your kid's practice field location changes to a location that is super inconvenient for you if your kid gets moved to a different level team? Or when games have to be rescheduled because ST James/FCV doesn't have fields that are "theirs"?

I don't have a kid who plays there, but we are avoiding it because both of these scenarios have happened to people we know.

THEY DON'T HAVE FIELDS. Of course they'll tell you they do.

This. This is a huge reason (besides toxic TD and staff leaving) many left. There have been promises for years about fields and facilities from StJ. They do not care about fcv at all and there are no true home fields or facilities for next year and I doubt the year after that.

To be honest...I hope they do have fields. There are so many kids in the NoVA area that it is great if there are clubs that can take them on and give them a good experience. Kinda that "beat them on their best day" concept. That said...if your "of course they have fields" is because AB said they do....wellllll....I'd be a little more cautious on your confidence. Futsal was supposed to be at TSJ and nZone. Only to have it be TSJ. So everyone trekked from Loudoun to Springfield...every Sunday. (Yes, yes I know...Springfield isn't Richmond or anything, but it is a healthy trek compared to Chantilly)

Yeah, they have fields. Just good luck getting priority / access.

As of now, all they have next year (North) is Hanson 1, 3, and 12.

I predict:
Hanson 1 will be for the GA teams
Hanson 3 will be for Rec
Hanson 12 will be for all the rest of Travel.

And good luck if it rains - or it rained the day before....as Field 12 doesn't drain.

I thought 12 is a cricket field.
