I have been TTC for awhile. I like to drink water. I mainly use a Brita filter or a Brita water bottle. Is this enough. Do you worry about the water you drink?
We are not TTC at the moment (probably will start in a month or so), but we drink DC water from a Brita and we let our 18 month old drink it as well.
I also drank DC water (while TTC, pregnant, nursing, and none of the above) with a Britta Filter and/or Pur Filter. But I don't sweat it too much, either -- sometimes take a glass of water from the bathroom tap which doesn't have a filter.

people in 3rd world countries conceive all the time on water that is much worse than that.... i think ur ok.
|
if you are worried, get your water tested. we mailed in samples to a testing place and confirmed that our water is fine.
Yes, but people in developing countries with bad water supplies also die all of the time of cholera, dysentery and other water-borne diseases. I'm not an overly paranoid pregnant person, and DC water is far from the biggest of my concerns, but there have been significant problems in the past with the DC water supply and the comparison to TTC in the 3rd world doesn't help answer the OP's question. |
we started ordering deer park when i got pregnant and was in dc.
I'm planning to go back to bottled water while ttc due to the lead content in the DC water--and bottled water in plastic bottles has its own problems so I think of it as "pick your poison" and haven't really been firm either way.
We get Deer Park delivered and I use a Sigg aluminum bottle so that I know how much I'm getting. The bottle is 1 liter and I try to drink two a day plus whatever water I drink with dinner out of a glass.
I've lived here 10 years and after that first chlorine flush came through the faucet I was done. I don't even give my dogs tap water.
But aren't those Deer Park containers plastic?
