I am sick of my straight hair, and was thinking about maybe getting a perm. It sounds so dated, and I have not been able to find someone who will do it.
If I don't get perms, my hair sits flat and limply on top of my head. VERY attractive. Go to the Hair Cuttery.
What about getting a nice haircut?
Can you go to one of those websites or get an app that shows what you would look like with a perm?
Very tacky. So 1980's Not at all classy!!!!
1987 called. They want their hair back.
Depends on what kind of perm you're looking for. I'd recommend against a spiral perm.
My perms give me body and waves. Ignore the clueless PPs.
Oooh...a body wave! I haven't had one if those since 1985.
|
As someone who used to perm/body wave her stick-straight hair in the late 80's, OP, I would say that I wouldn't recommend doing it unless you want to be featured on one of those shows which does makeovers.

My 67 yo MIL gets perms, maybe I can ask her where. -

As a victim of the 1980s perm craze, I say DON'T DO IT. I have the pix to prove it is a bad idea. The problem (uh, one of the problems) is you have to keep getting perms to maintain the look, and when you pile perm on top of perm, your hair gets dry and frizzy and really ugly. And then it takes forevvvver to grow it out.
What is it that you don't like about your hair? Is it just that it is straight or does it just hang there? You might be able to address your issue with a great haircut, and keep your hair healthy. |
The Duggars can't find anyone to do it either, so they do it themselves.
