I am 36 weeks pregnant, and doubled over in the grocery store tonight when the baby knocked right against my bladder. It was a sharp pain and it took my breath away. These sharp pains have been consistent for the past hour, and I don't think they are contractions, more like she is head butting my bladder. REALLY hurts.
As anyone else had this? Situations when you are frozen in your tracks or double over because of pain? |
I had sharp quick pain towards the end of my second pregnancy -- it only lasted about 20 - 30 seconds though. It covered a good bit of my stomach and really scared me at the time. In my case I'm now sure it was the baby flipping as he was breech one week and head down the next week. However, since your pain has been going on for an hour, I'd suggest calling your OB. |
How do you know it is not a contraction? |
Is the pain not as intense if your bladder is empty? |
OP here- Headed to doctor. Pain is still intense, and it doesn't go away when bladder is empty. EXTREMELY uncomfortable. Perhaps bladder infection. . . |
OP, let us know what the doctor says! |
OP here-
All is fine. She just dropped as low as she can be, and her head is pressing on nerves. Doctor said it was just a swift, fast move, and that sometimes it does take your breath away and cause some pain. Thanks. |
