Flash Mobs?

Romney leads the latest Iowa poll, but the big news is Santorum's surge to a 16% third place. I conjecture that the explanation for the weird GOP polls is that someone has figured out how to contact the pollees (is that a word?) and organize them into flash mobs -- "Okay guys, this time it's the pizza guy!"

Is Huntsman next? Nah, what's the fun in organizing a flash mob to do something that normal people would do as a matter of course?

A CNN/Time/ORC International Poll Wednesday finds these results among Republicans who say they’re likely to participate in the Jan. 3 Iowa caucuses: Romney 25 percent, Ron Paul 22 percent, Rick Santorum 16 percent, Gingrich 14 percent, Rick Perry 11 percent, Michele Bachmann 9 percent, and Jon Huntsman 1 percent.

I think he went hunting in Iowa on Monday. You have to understand Republicans. You become instantly more popular if you prove that you can shoot and kill something - provided you are not black, in which case you are scary proof of the failure of the welfare state.

When Santorum actually takes the lead, I wonder how they'll break the news to him: "Sorry, but we've just learned that three weeks from now you'll officially have no shot."

I feel a little sorry for them - the giant collective cock tease is the Rep voters is working its way through all of these deluded shmoes. Maybe this is some grand conspiracy organized by Romney, to not only beat but tease and humiliate the competition.

They can call that the flash-in-the-pan mob. Meanwhile Romney is trying his darnedest to smile while America searches every crevice of the political landscape looking for an alternative. I'm afraid the Great Republican Settling is about to occur.
