| I've been getting endometrin instead of prometrium, and the endometrin is $199 for 21 of those suckers! I filled my prescription at CVS. Any cheaper sources out there? Thanks so much. |

Freedom Fertility has them for about $6 a pill, so 21 would be $126
http://www.freedomfertility.com/fertility-medications/medications-and-pricing.aspx You might also try calling Alexander's Twin Pharmacy in New Jersey (google for the number) -- I don't know the price off hand, but they were the cheapest source for almost all of my other IVF meds, so they might have a lower price for Endometrin. Can't hurt to check. Grubbs Pharmacy, near Dupont Circle, may also have a good price. I've not heard anyone say that CVS is the cheapest source for anything. So definitely shop around! CVS was going to charge me $60 or something crazy like that for Clomid, till I found out I could get the generic at Wal-Mart for $18. (10 pills) |
| if you switch to injections of progesterone it is much cheaper, but you do have to get daily shots in the butt |
Avoid Alexander's Twin Pharmacy if you value your health and life. This pharmacy has filled many of my prescriptions with the wrong medications, dosages and prescription lengths. Even more troubling is that several doctors have told me to switch pharmacies. When searching online reviews for Alexander's Twin Pharmacy, it appears that others have had the same experiences. There are so many other pharmacies with great ratings why take the chance. Lastly and maybe the most unforgivable, the people who work at Alexander's Twin Pharmacy from the pharmacists to the clerks are the most obnoxious, nasty, sarcastic, moody and condescending people you’ll ever have the misfortune to meet. I simply feel sorry for them. |
| Grubbs had a $50 off coupon I could use once per month.... |
| It's so expensive because it has been categorized as only a fertility med - even though it is just plain, old progesterone. The categorization means it can't be used for menopausal women, as the rest of the progesterone supplements are, and is expensive as a result. |
| Ask you dr for another progesterone supplement. I thought one of them was now available as generic. Theres got to be more than one. My insurance actually covered this other than the copay (but they wouldn't pay for any injectibles). Defintiely tell you dr. I went through Grubbs and they offered the coupon once and I got it free. And you know if you get pregnant you will be on that stuff for like 10-12 weeks (I just finished my final and 12th week!!), so shop around. |
| I love tschiffley. The pharmacists are awesome. I think I paid $60 for 15 pills so that would be cheaper than you're paying now. |
