We had the sibley hospital tour this weekend and they said that visiting hours are only from 1-8PM. This seems pretty short to me- are these hours actually enforced? |
No! Just have your visitors call and your DH can open the door for them. Nobody ever said a thing to us. |
Are you getting a private room? If not, you may want to consider your roommate's needs if you want visitors after 8 p.m. |
Totally depends on the head nurse. We stayed 4 nights, 2 nights people were told to leave our room at 8 and 2 nights not. Also, if you have a shared room they claim that they are enforced for the sake of your roommate. |
No enforcement when I was there in June 2007. I was totally ignorant about the visiting hours to be frank. However, the only long-term/ late night visitors were my MIL, sister and husband- not exactly a raucous bunch. I do remember a loud room down the hall- visitors at midnight. Kind of annoying but they were at a distance so I didn't say anything. I had a private room. |
For those of you who delivered at Sibley: is the "two visitors at a time" rule enforced? I'm actually hoping that it is, just to keep the chaos of relatives to a minimum. |
It wasn't enforced for us, but that doesn't mean that you can't enforce it yourself and blame the rules. ![]() |
I was at Sibley just recently and nothing related to visitors was enforced, but I had a private room. I had visitors until midnight at times and before 1pm as well. I also had more than 2 people more than once. |
