| Any suggestions for a dessert for Christmas? I'm looking for something that is relatively quick and easy to make and something that I can make today and will last until Sunday. TIA. |
| I'm doing a trifle this year. Probably make it 1 day in advance or in the morning. Not sure how it would go with 2 days. |

| I'm making what I call chocolate pit. It's a melted bar of Baker's choc in the green package, cool whip, cream cheese, sugar and milk whipped and put into a premade choc pie crust. Freeze it and it will be perfect for Sunday. Recipe is on the inside of the chocolate package. |

My go to easy dessert is chocolate meringues with freshly whipped cream. Easy, quick and I confess, inexpensive to make. Easy to transport if you need. The meringues themselves are easy to store for long periods of time. No refrigeration required.
If you want more cake like - I always make a chocolate torte. Pillsbury have a great recipe. Making it today for Sunday I would imagine would be just fine. I have always done day before. http://www.pillsbury.com/recipes/milleniyum-chocolate-torte/60d0ecd7-d204-4592-a008-4975c1472492/ |

Ice cream pie with homemade chocolate sauce and whipped cream. Super easy, but looks like you spent some time on it. For ice cream pie- buy or make chocolate graham cracker crust, soften a 1/2 gallon of your favorite ice cream, spread it into the crust, cover with saran, refreeze. For the choc sauce- melt 6 oz choc chips over low heat, when fully melted add 2/3 cup evap milk. stir until combined. Perfection..
