where do you buy underwear?

Anonymous
For at least 10 years I've been getting regular cotton underwear from Victoria's Secret. I feel like the quality has gone down substantially and the underwear is no longer comfortable. Curious where others buy everyday underwear--any place you'd recommend? I'm not into thongs/super low-rise styles, more like low-rise briefs, that sort of thing. Thanks for any ideas!

I go to Macy's and buy from the major brands. The problem that I have is that I find a style that fits me really well and then 2 or 3 years down the road when I need more, they don't sell it anymore and I have to start finding ones that fit right all over again.

I buy my underwear at Costco. It comes in a pack of like 5 or 6 and is called itse bitse or something like that. I'm in my mid 30s, have a fairly decent figure (run 3 times a week, do strength training 3 times a week--but love yummy food so it all balances out to just an "ok" figure instead of an amazing one) , 4 kids, and have been married 13 years. Dh and I have sex about twice a year...so no need for sexy underthings.

Just plain ol' Hanes bikini briefs from Target.

OP, I could have written this post myself. Used to swear by the VS cotton panties, but the quality has majorly gone downhill. They literally split open at the seams now. I recently started buying the Gap cotton low rise bikinis and they are wonderful. Comparable to the style of VS cotton, but much better quality and much more comfortable. A little pricier though.

Mayb its time to leave Costco underwear alone?

another VS who left it for the poor quality.

my vote is for Costco. they've lasted since forever, and I change underwear 2 to 3 times a day.

I prefer Jockey panties, which I buy at any department store.

Patagonia when they have a sale. I never thought I would spend 13 dollars per pair of everyday underwear but they are so unbelievably comfy while chasing around a toddler and a preschooler that I am hooked.

I agree about VS. My main gripe is that they stopped seeing down that front part of the crotch piece in their cotton undies. I guess they're trying to save money, but it's not worth it if their underwear sucks! It's a thin, flimsy cotton, and the sizes are also inconsistent now.

I switched to the Jockey Elance cotton bikinis. I'll only wear cotton, and these fit well and are comfy. Downside is they come packaged with some strange perfume scent so you have to soak/wash them quite a bit before wear. Otherwise they hold up well. I buy mine from stores, or online -better selection online.

Soma...from chico's. really nice "boy short" that doesn't go too far down the leg. It has a nice wide lace band around the waist.
