| As has been noted, one reason for the extraordinary interest in any private school located within the DC boundaries is the lack of a viable public school option. This article describes efforts to improve DC schools, but also explains why public school is not an option in DC for DC: http://www.weeklystandard.com/articles/high-school-monumental_613466.html?page=1# |
| How does the high school experience 11 years ago of a conservative editorial asst. impact your (probably) 4 year old's preK experience? |
| You are delusional. |
| Delusional indeed -- there was an armed robbery of a 9th grader in a bathroom at Wilson a year ago. Public high school is not an option for DC in DC. |
| 9:16 Just to be clear....a year ago Wilson's classes were being conducted on the campus of the University of the District of Columbia. |
The assault occured on the Wilson campus (not UDC) in 2010 -- might have been spring 2010. |

Yes, and a couple of years ago, a student at UVa bashed his girlfriend's head into a wall and killed her. Is UVa no longer an option for your snowflake? |

Denial is not a river in Egypt.
Send your kid to a school with metal detectors at every entrance if you like. I wouldn't and judging from the demographics of DCPS most of the whites in DC wouldn't either. Yeah, UVA and VaTech are both of the list for snowflake too. I don't have enough children to offer one as sacrifice to the cause of political correctness. |
| Want to know what Wilson is like : hop e ride on the H3 or H4 bus leaving Tennley at 3pm on a school day. After riding along for 4 minutes of the zoo like atmosphere, imagine a bright ,well behaved young person having to experience 4 years of that. Then get out your check book. |
| Nah. My snowflake is a solid Ward 3er and will be cloistered in an Academy. Different track, reachable on foot. |
And didn't that murder go to Landon? Hmmmmm....off the list for my snowflake! |
My bright wellbehaved snowflake knows to behave differently in school and out. |
