Expert Bra Fitting

Anonymous
Hi, I am almost 15 weeks and (once again) busting out and uncomfortable in my poorly-fitted underwire bras.
Anyone know of a real expert bra fitter (preferably in the Maryland burbs) who can help?
Thanks!

I haven't tried her myself, but I hear from my OB that Cynthia at the Nieman-Marcus at Mazza Gallerie in Friendship Heights is excellent.

Cheryl's Health Boutique in Rockville (near Shady Grove Hospital) does bra fittings. They are mostly for nursing bras, but I am sure they could fit you now, too.

I have had success with the Nordstrom's at Pentagon City. If it helps to know....after that initial first tri. growth I didn't grow again until the end.

OP here:
Thanks for the recommendations.
I grew throughout my first pregnancy, so need room for expansion.
I guess everyone's different--I know all these cute pregnant women with petite breasts, but I get gigantic.

I didn't have a good experience at the Pentagon City Nordstrom after I stopped breastfeeding--they kept giving me bras that were painfully tight. I went to Victoria's secret and had better luck.

OP - I am in the same boat you are with not being "petite" - I have not grown too much throughout pregnancy thus far with 5 weeks to go but I am at a 32G. Another recommednation I received (once you know your size) is www.figleaves.com It is hard to find bras in sizes alrger than D especially if you have a smaller rib cage as I do. Figleaves has a whole selection for those over DD cup size.

PP- Of course if it is painful than that is an issue, but I have found the VS is notorious for sizing a band too big. The ones I get at nordstroms often feel a bit tight for the first 2 weeks or so but b/c elastic stretches they ultimately are the right size. Just an FYI. VS is terrible about playing with your size to get you into a bra they may not have in your correct size which is a big no-no too. Just my experience.

Sylene's in upper Friendship Heights is great for fittings at the hard to fit petite but busty sizes! I was a 32DD to begin with, and my boobs grew to a 34DDD almost immediately after I became pregnant. If they don't have your size they'll order, though I often find it faster to order through BiggerBras.com because they deliver straight to your home.
