| It is a beautiful acquarium. It isn't free, like all the DC attractions, but you can spend all day in there. They bring animals out and talk about them and kids can get up close. The shows are fun - not exactly Sea World but pretty close, and fun (take the liberal spin during the presentation with a grain of salt). There is a terrific rain forest exhibit with lots of birds and critters flying around loose. The drive is only an hour from DC. It takes 30 minutes to get from Capitol Hill to the National Zoo on CT Ave! |

| I think if your kids are a little older, it is expensive, but worth it. You could easily spend 3-4 hours there and still not see everything. We went with my 6 and 4 year old last January and they loved it. |
