Wondering if anyone has bought any and if so are they comfortable? Also-do you think it really matters? |
Personally, I don't think it matters at all. It's a complete waste of your money. Especially since kids outgrow their clothes so fast, you don't want to spend too much money on clothes. |
I have purchased some, but I don't think it makes a difference (at least to the child wearing it - the environment is a whole different story!). They are significantly more expensive unless you get a (relatively) inexpensive brand like Gerber organics or Walmart. I think their organic cotton children's clothes is the George brand. |
I don't think it is necessary, but I gave my sister an organic SwaddleDesigns blanket when her DD was born and it was incredibly soft. I had the old-school cotton version and hers was far superior! |
We purchased all organic clothes/blankets/etc. Who knows if it actually mattered? It mattered to me and so it was worth it. If it really protected baby, then all the better. Also, it was of course better for the environment, too. We mostly went with Under the Nile because they were reasonably priced and basic, but there are a million options out there. We tried some of the other brands, mostly when they were on sale or were seconds. We also purchased a few organic used items from craigslist. I agree that the organic swaddle blankets the PP mentioned are incredibly soft -- and the perfect size for a good swaddle. Oh, there is a line I have seen available through Amazon.com called American Baby (I think that is right) that was really affordable and all organic. Best of luck with your decision. |
