It's getting better and better. Makes you want to call him Napoleon or Franco but I don't think either of these guys were nearly as dumb. Seriously, though, does he realize he's running for president, not dictator? |
Who was it who said that when fascism comes to America it will be draped in the flag and waving a cross? |
Newt is falling in the polls so he has to ramp up the crazy. Perry will now call Newt soft on judges and promise that he will not simply have them arrested, but lined up against a wall shot.
|
I’m not in favor of legislating from the bench either, but Newt is talking totally crazy. I do have to agree, there are some judges I’d LOVE to see arrested. Most of them on the Supreme Court.
That is a joke, for those of you who don’t recognize humor. |
Love the phrase "legislating from the bench". Also known as "interpreting the Constitution". Funny how no matter how much conservative judges ignore precedent and overturn legislation, only left-of-center judges can be "activist". |
Wow! Newt is getting liberal if he just wants to arrest judges with whom he disagrees. Rght wingers tend to want to just shoot or hang them on their own and not bother with those pesky courts. |
Kind of a shame he didn't wait until later in the process to go bonkers. He would so lose the general election. |
why not put his idea to a vote or have the people vote judgets |
I don't want my civil rights to be subject to a vote by people such as yourself. |
Gingrich says the judges who ruled that adding "under God" to the Pledge are "un-American". Un-American for applying the First Amendment as they see it? And having started my life pledging allegiance to "one nation, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all", I find it hard to accept that the entire nation was un-American up through Word War II.
By the way, beyond the First Amendment issue, consider the logical inconsistency of taking a sentence extolling our indivisible nation and interposing a phrase that divides it between those who believe in God and those who don't. |
he's showing his true colors as a truly crazy self aggrandizing fucking moron ... in the same breath that he decries one branch as allegedly superior to the others (ignoring the trend of the last 30+ yrs to a more conservative judiciary, many of whom are appalled by his ignorance but can't say anything about it), he unilaterally steamrolls "separation of powers" by putting himself, the Imperial President Newt, as the sole arbiter of judicial propriety who will "release the hounds" and haul judges to answer for their decisions.
Any true conservative is alternately vomiting in disgust and laughing at the appalling ignorance of this deluded buffoon. |
