c-section w/ Physicians & Midwives

Anonymous
It seems like we may have to schedule a c-section, if this breech baby doesn't turn soon! I've mostly been seeing midwives over the course of my pregnancy, thinking they'd be the ones I'd interact with the most during delivery. So now that c-section is seeming like a real possibility, I really don't have a sense of which (if any) doctor in particular I would prefer for the surgery. If anyone has experience, good or bad, with any of the P&M docs for c-sections, I would really appreciate hearing about it! For some reason, I'm feeling way more nervous about the surgery, than I was about labor. Thanks in advance!

I have had three women tell me that Dr. Bowers is the best at C-sections. I really like her manner as well! Good Luck!

You're right, she's great -- when I've seen her at visits, at least. Unfortunately, I heard that she's leaving the practice sometime this summer.

Have you considered seeing a chiropractor that specialize in the Webster Technique or even seeking out someone who does optimal fetal positioning? Sonija Parson with Birthing Hands of DC (www.birthinghandsdc.com) does wonders in optimal fetal positioning and Dr Zinn in Takoma Park has many out comes with the Webster Tech.
