Not immed family like kids and DH but how much per person do you spend on nieces, nephews, in laws etc?
Ten dollars per niece and nephew under the age of 18. And absolutely nothing for adults. I do buy a gift for the person hosting the party that year but I keep it to 20 bucks.
I spend $100 on my niece. She is the only child (other than DD) on either side. In-laws are deceased. We spend about $75 on my grandmother and my mom. We don't spend anything on my sisters and their husbands.
No presents for adult siblings, $25.00for hubby, $150.00 on my parents, ILs do not celebrate Christmas. I do not have any nieces or nephews or children but if I did I would spend about $150.00 on each. We also buy house gifts... Gifts for dogs and agree to fund a home improvement project such as getting hardwoods redone.

I get my nieces and nephews ornaments each year-it started when my sister said she had too many toys and a bare tree. Now it's our tradition. I usually send along something for the family as well-chocolates or Christmas crackers or something. I'd say it comes to no more than $50 for the family, often more like $30. My other sister and I have agreed not to exchange.
I do token gifts for my parents because they always say not to get them anything. This year they get a photo calendar and some edible treats. Probably $30. My inlaws, well my husband goes a little more nutty. They have less money, and I think he likes to spoil them a little. This year we gave them: an iPad, a cd player, a book, fancy beer, chocolates, a photo calendar, and some decorative knickknacks. I'm not even sure what the final total came to. We probably spent about $35 on each of his grandmothers. |
I spend about $250 each on my mom and my two sisters. About the same on my husband.
We spend approx $250 for each of our parents, $100-$150 for each of our siblings and in-laws, $80-$100 on 1.5 yr. old niece. I'm spending $300 or so on DH.
We spend $20 each for three nieces and $25 for each in-law (a calendar with pics of family). Nothing for adult siblings, but we do have a less than $20 white elephant exchange.
$50 each for kids and $100 each for parents and sibs.
$25-ish for each niece and nephew (7 total), nothing or minimal for adults.
About $350 each on inlaws, $200 on each sibling, and about $500 on gifts for each other. We tend to splurge on Christmas b/c we don't really exchange presents during the year for other occasions.

$20 - $45 for each niece and nephew.
DH and I have a $50 limit for each other. |
About $40 each for nephews, sister and BIL.
$75 to $100 on the nieces.
$50 for siblings, niece and nephew. No set limit for my mom. We only buy for my relatives not dh's side of the family. Plus we usually get my brother and his wife a restaurant gift card since they are my dd's godparents and do a ton of stuff for us all the time.
