| How in the world do I get the fur off? The lint roller (which works great on fur on clothes) barely gets any fur off. I try hanging it in the closet where the cat can't go and don't pick him up while wearing it, yet it is covered. And, no, getting rid of the cat is non-negotiable. And I really like the coat. |
| Given your above conditions, you might have to settle for a "gray" wool coat. |
| Ditch the coat and love the cat 'till the day you put him to "sleep". |
| Can you keep the coat in the car? |
| there's a "pet hair remover" brush type thing out there. I get it at Giant, in the cleaning supply aisle. Works wonders! |
| Flylady.net has this thing called a rubbabscrubba that would probably work |
| My cleaning lady used to dampen a dish towel and rub it in circles to "ball up" the fur on the couch -- really works! |
| I hate cats. |
OP here. Thanks for the other responses besides this one. Why would someone dredge up a thread that hadn't been active in two days to post the above? Do you not have presents to wrap? Children to feed? Other domestic animals to disdain? |
Did all that this weekend, while you were on DCUM. Now I'm catching up on posts from the weekend.
Have fun cleaning the hair balls! |
How often do you vacuum? I vacuum each day or else there would be hair everywhere. I work, btw. So my time is limited. But I swear I make it a priority! |
| Sigh. My cat and my dog make it impossible for my clothes to look nice, ever. I walk in the door and take my coat off immediately and hang it up. Go to put it on later, covered in white hair. |
And I'm sure they hate you. So what's your point? |
| Dye the cat black. |
