I came to DC in the last 12 months and come from a non-tipping culture. Would appreciate advice on how much to tip a cleaner who comes once every two weeks and charges $80. Many thanks.

My cleaner comes every 2 weeks and charges me $100, I tip her $25. She is coming this week (last time before Christmas) and I'm doubling her tip ($50), but only bc it's Christmas.

Our charges $80 every two weeks for a 4 bedroom, 2.5 bath house and I think the price she charges is more than reasonable. This year, we gave her $100 in a Christmas card, but don't tip her each time she cleans.
We only tip our cleaner once per year at Christmas/New Years time. We give her a lot because she cleans twice per week and we've been using her for 5 years. We also give her a few days off throughout the year - this is not necessary for you but we use her very frequently. In your case, I'd suggest $50-$100 over the holidays.
Thanks for asking this...we have the exact same situation. I have only been using this lady for about six months off and on, but it has become more regular lately. I was thinking $50 but maybe I'll bring it up a bit.
OP here. Thanks for the guidance.
I have someone bi-weekly, a team of 2-3 girls. I just add $50 to the check to the cleaning company and she splits it up with all of her staff.
