The political agitation on the left is MAGA's wet dream. The administration wants to cause strife and conflict and chaos so they can impose the Insurrection Act, suspend civil liberties and continue in power without constitutional niceties like presidential term limits and elections. This is really they're only play as the know, to borrow the words of your fearless Orange Leader, the days of reckoning and retribution are coming.

I don't think the Insurrection Act means that the states can't hold their elections.

States are holding their elections. Many primaries are in the next few weeks, hence the MAGA freak out!

The same people who cannot control a city of 400,000 are manifestly incapable of cancelling a midterm or ending the peaceful transition of power. Keep reminding yourself that you are a lot stronger than they are.

People are documenting the illegal activities of the federal agents. They are doing it from public space. There is nothing they are doing that is illegal in a free country. It is ICE that instigate verbal and physical contact. It is ICE that gets violent and it is ICE that has injured and killed people. Our government is not following the law. THEY are the ones threatening the peace. People are defending themselves and their communities. In other words, don't nothin, won't be nothin. If ICE stopped their invasion of cities and went back to conducting their work as they traditionally have, people will have no reason to continue having to defend themselves and their communities. But you don't get to bring violence into people's homes and demand they passively take it. I'm really not surprised the entire MAGA movement seems entirely unable to comprehend that they can't just bully the rest of the country into submission so they can shape the country into their vision.

I’m optimistic the midterms will be fair but they came very close to stopping certification on January 6 and that was with weeks of planning. They have now had years.

That was for ONE office - the presidency. States certify their votes. I mean, maybe they try another J6 in 2028 but that is why we need to clobber them NOW.
