accessing Medicaid (secondary insurance) for Neuropsych testing--has anyone done this? Virginia

Hi-
My insurance denied neuropsych testing (my son has a genetic disorder). While we fight the appeal, he does have Medicaid as a secondary. Has anyone used medicaid as their secondary to get the testing and where did they go? It has to be a Virginia provider (already spoke with Kennedy Krieger about it). Any help is much appreciated.

I'm not sure if this helps, but Children's Hospital (CNMC in DC) accepts Virginia Medicaid - we have used it there. I can't recommend any particular doctor there, since we haven't done Neuropsych testing though.

Georgetown University Hospital also accepts Virginia Medicaid IF it is your secondary insurance. They do not accept it when you have one of the VA Medicaid Managed Care Organizations.
