Brilliant, lecherous, great debater, chubby, helped fix the economy in the 1990’s, drives political opponents insane, became a corporate shill after leaving office. |
Yes but I guess you could say that Newt married his 'ho. |
But people like Bill Clinton |
-- except those who impeached him. |
b/c of his sexiness and charisma? |
Brilliant? |
If HR was avrepublican they would have loved him. Take abortion away and it would work. |
That's so funny! I was just thinking that this morning! The difference between Gingrich and Clinton though is that while they are both undisciplined in their personal lives, Clinton was a much more disciplined politician. Gingrich has a long way to go to be as disciplined. |
NO.
Like him or not (I'm not a big fan) Bill Clinton was elected as President twice. Gingrich has little or no chance of doing it once. |
In a word...Yes.
Some differences... Clinton was much better at faking sincerity. Newt is too cerebral for that. "Quite frankly", Newt doesn't fee your pain. He thinks it's absurd that you should have pain and has a clear plan for ridding you of it. |
Gingrich would be awesome in a debate against Obama. I think he would tear Obama down.
I don't get why people are so against lowering taxes across the board or making it the same for each level of income. Why is it the Government's job to take money from higher earners and give it to lower earners? Here is a perfect example, I pay my nanny 650 a week gross. 120 of that a week goes to FICA, State Tax Unemployment. At the end of the year my nanny pays ZERO taxes but gets a check for $8k due to her children. Essentially I am paying money to the government to give to her. Why can't I just give it to her? |
well, it's quaint that you think that, but -- quite frankly -- as has been said elsewhere, Newt is a stupid person's idea of what a smart person sounds like. As to the rest of your post, it's beyond the scope of time & space here to explain the social compact to you but if you don't like it, perhaps you might like to move to Russia, or Myanmar, or ... |
By golly, that's a great idea! You could give her another $120 directly and show the government how it ought to be done. Your generosity has made my Xmas! |
No. I loved Bill Clinton from the get go. I was disappointed in his infidelity but even more disappointed that he spent those years so distracted by the fallout. I've hated Newt from the get go. Still do. |
I love it how fast and furious the Tea Partiers have retreated from their original goals.
Two years ago, they wanted to throw the bums out of Washington, and put in new people with a new agenda. Now they'll take the ultimate example of the political insider/lobbyist bringing home the bacon to his constituency. They have chucked their principles out the window. Anything to win. |
