Specific nursing clothes

Just wondering if anyone who has bought special nursing tops, I mean aside from the tanks, could offer an opinion on whether they were worth the money. I didn't use them the first go around, but I am planning to nurse this one too, and am unsure if I should make the investment. FWIW, I am rather well endowed and did find modesty to be a bit of an issue last time. I had a hooter hider but once DD was around 6 months she started pulling it away all the time so she could look at people . Thanks~

I've been nursing for about ten months now, and to be honest, I don't think it's really necessary to have special nursing tops. The thing I found most helpful is to have a camisole underneath a normal top (I bought a ton on sale at Ann Taylor). That way, I pull the top shirt up and pull the camisole down, and it creates some degree of privacy. It's also nice because it gives you some added smoothing in the midsection! Around the house, I just wear comfy tops (camisoles, if it's warm). I wore nursing bras exclusively for the first month, but I have a couple of normal bras (without too much padding) that work, too.

The only nursing tops I found useful are the ones that two pieces of fabric that cross in the front so that you just have to pull down part of the top to nurse, leaving everything else covered.

They don't even have to be nursing tops -- I had a few cross front tops before I got pregnant that I used while nursing.
