Want to give Fly Fishing Lessons to DH and DS for Christmas and would like to make a weekend out of it. Any suggestions that are within a couple Hours of DC?
http://www.roseriverfarm.com this place is great and only about an hour and a half from DC. I found it on DCUM a few months ago. They have really nice cabins and fantastic fly fishing with private instruction for your husband and child. We actually had a class for our 14 year old son and the two of us. And I know they do Gift Certificates because I just bought one as a stocking stuffer for my husband.
Wow, PP, I'm not the OP but that is a really interesting link. This is why I love DCUM - there is someone with a good answer to every question. I wish I could post my entire gift-buying list here for advice.

I was looking for an interesting weekend getaway and I think Rose River Farm looks perfect. Those round cabins look awesome and the views of Old Rag-- wow. My husband loves to fly fish so I think I just found the perfect Christmas present!
OP here thanks so much-- Rose River Farm is perfect. Just booked a cabin and a lesson for my Husband and son. I love DCUM-- PP you are right someone always has good ideas on this forum!
What a cool idea! Think this would be a great bonding activity for my boys and DH-- plus it looks like we could make a weekend out of it and have the whole family stay at the cabins while they fish. Looks like a good weekend out of the city!
Perfect gift idea! Got a gift Certificate for a cabin for the weekend and two days of fishing for my husband and two boys. Always great idea on DCUM!!!
Dear Rose River Farm - Your place looks really nice but it's sleazy to use a series of fake posts to advertise it. If you're going to do it again, please make sure it's not as obvious. Just a few tips: Not everyone writes in the same style, so perhaps you could change up your voice and vocabulary a bit. Vary your punctuation too (watch those dashes!) and be slightly less enthusiastic about yourself. Thanks, Heidi
