Can you share smoothie recipes??

I have a 1 yr old who will not eat any veggies....he will just spit them out. So I was reading another post and thought it could be a good idea including some in his smoothies. He loves fruit smoothies , ex banana/strawberry, papaya.... but I am looking for good combination to add carrots, beets or any other veggie. Can you share your recipes and how to make them

I make smoothies with spinach (and pumpkin) regularly, but I haven't heard of adding beets or carrots. Google green monster smoothies for some ideas. (my favorite is the pumpkin pie green monster).

Have you thought about getting a juicer? We make carrot/kale/apple regularly and it is delicious. I recommend a masticating juicer (mine is an Omega).

At WF, they have a green protein powder. I use it with water, blueberries, and kale. Yum.

I LOVE my Vitamix. My kids have green smoothies every morning. I buy spinach as Costco and go through 2lbs of raw spinach a week. I also do Swiss Chard and Beet greens.

One of my basics is strawberries, banana, almonds, mango, spinach and FULL fat yogurt. I think that is around a 500cal breakfast the kids suck down on the drive to daycare.

I also do a raw beet, 4 carrots, ice, and frozen mango. This one is very messy due to the beets so I only give it to them when I'm in the mood to deal with the beets.

The key to getting the raw fruit and veggies smooth is the Vitamix, it is a very powerful blender.

I think you need to ask your pediatrician. Smoothies are a great idea, but your kids need to develop a taste for veggies. If you cover up the flavor now, maybe they won't develop a taste for them.
I don't know this as fact, it just is the way it seems to me. But I do know it takes a long time for some kids to develop a taste for them. Usually peas and carrots are a favorite early on, but I think they say it can take 10-12 times of trying a food before they may start to like it.
I made my 1st son eat sweet potatoes all the time, now he loves them.
I got lazy with my 2nd son and he barely likes veggies and hates sweet potatoes

I personally don't believe this. I have two kids with the EXACT same diets and one is picky and the other isn't. They also ebb and flow...whereas my non-picky eater started out picky and my picky eater started out as a baby a great eater.

I do smoothies for both, I dn't care how they get the veggie, as lon as they get it. My picky eater will only eat broccoli, so I round him out with the smoothies.
