| Can anyone recommend a good house slipper? I'm looking for one that keep the feet warm during the winter months. Its got to be flexible and non-marking (sole). Looking for the slip on kind without much of a heel. Thanks. |
| I'm not a fan of Uggs, but I borrowed a pair of Ugg slippers when I was a houseguest and they were amazingly warm. |

I love my slippers. They are hideously expensive and not cute or sexy, but they keep my feet warm without making them sweaty. They offer enough support and cushioning that I can stand on a tile floor cooking or folding laundry without an aching back. There is just enough non skid that I don't slip on the wood stairs. Love them and think they are worth every penny.
http://zappos.com/giesswein-ammern-classic-schiefer I used to have slippers from LL Bean that were suede/shearling with a cork sole (kind of like Ugg slippers), but my feet got sweaty and they were really heavy and clunky. Before that I had shearling moccasins with a soft sole. Again, hot and sweaty feet plus no support or cushioning, so not as good for doing chores around the house. |

Uggs would be my first choice, but I really like my Bearpaws.
I think it really comes down to what kind of slipper you want. Me I want something warm, comfortable and will last more than a few days -- I wear mine all of the time. |

I like my lands end moc slippers:

My Mom turned me on to Smartdogs Slippers a few years ago and I never looked back.
They are so comfy and have real leather and shearling on most styles. They have an indoor/outdoor sole that isn't too heavy. It looks like they have some good sales right now: www.smartdogscomfort.com |
| I have some Ugg-like slippers that I bought several years ago at Target and they keep my icy feet warm. |
