spanish immersion programs

I am looking for a Spanish immersion experience for my two year old... either a child care center, playgroup, etc. Any ideas? Also, any thoughts on good immersion programs for when he enters pre-school in a few years? Thanks.

Washington International School's full immersion Spanish program is excellent. It starts from pre-K 3.

You can apply for a place at LAMB, a montessori charter school....they used to accept kids if they'd turn three that calendar year
Also there is Little Flower Montessori on 16th street (private)

My kids went to a wonderful Spanish preschool. It's an inhome preschool/nursery called "El Jardin Infantil". It's in DC, in the Pallisades. They accept kids startng at age 2, up until 4, i believe. The teacher-student ratio is great, and the teachers are so warm and supportive. My kids also learned lots-- about the environemnt, art, and basic preschool skills like the alphabet, motor skill development, etc. I speak Spanish at home, but all the other students were from English-speaking homes, and yet i was astonished that they all understood spanish by the end of the first term! Though the kids would usually speak English amongst themselves, the teachers always speak Spanish to them. Anyway, i know they have at least one or two openings left for this fall. If you're interested you can email the main teacher/owner directly: anamaria2fernandez@yahoo.com.

Apparently SED is closing both locations in Adams Morgan and relocating to Petworth.
