Replacing bathtub hardware but not plumbing, where to buy?

Anonymous
We want to give our tub/shower a facelift and replace the knobs, showerhead and possibly faucet. We aren't in a place to open up the walls and replace the plumbing, so we just want to swap the existing pieces. We need a set with 3 knobs since we have older plumbing. We don't want to spend a fortune on the new stuff since it's mostly cosmetic, but aren't looking to go to Home Depot and Lowes. Also preferable if it doesn't take more than a week for what we order to come in as we'd like to do it before the holidays. Thanks!

I would take some pictures, remove the old hardware and take it to plumbing parts plus in rockville. I would also consider replacing the 3-handle setup with one valve and use a pressure-balancing valve - will eliminate scalding when a toilet flushes.

not so easy as that usually involves replacing tile where extra valves are.

We just ordered a 3 vale systm from HD on-line. It was hard to find this sort of set-up.

Amazon also has some options

9:12 here - no need to re-tile after replacing, Delta/Kohler/Moen and others make a plate to fit over the 3 hole openings.

Thanks, the plate wouldn't cover the spacing of the 3 knnobs we have so we have to go with 3 individual knobs. 11:14 did you get just the valves or the whole set w faucet and shower head?

it came with 3 knobs, faucet and showerhead. At places like Home depot it all comes in one big set. I paid $170 for the set.

We got ours at Home Depot. It's a 1940s era home.

Home Depot and Lowe's sells all that stuff. You should go look at each store, or online.
