Friendship Children's Center (formally CCPCC)

Anonymous
Anyone know anything about Friendship Children's Center (formerly known as CCPCC)? Feedback from parents with infants at the center would be particularly helpful. Thank you.

I never got off the waiting list but my neighbor's kids go there and they love it. They have a new center which is supposed to be really nice. If that doesn't work out, check out BCDC. Similar philosophy, a little bigger with more resources and a playground on site!!!

I worked at CCPCC as a part time staffer in the past. I have worked (before and since) as a nanny, babysitter, camp counselor, and with other daycares. CCPCC was (and I assume still is) a wonderful facility. The faculty genuinely cares about the children, and the curriculum is excellent. I was consistently amazed by how advanced the children were in skills such as table manners, compared to other programs. The new facility is beautiful and there are a number of playgrounds/parks within walking distance that are visited on the daily walk. Good luck getting in, but the waitlist is long.

I have an infant at friendship children's center and I agree with the PP, the staff is amazing. Everyone is very caring, and the programs, even for infants, are excellent.

so how do these glowing review match up against the distressing story (in DCUM daycare thread today) of three inattentive women teachers who left all the 18- to 24-mo-olds in the hands of the lone male teacher? SCARY!!!
