| Hi - I live near WHC and was hoping to switch to one of the doctors at Melancon, Whitaker etc but they are not taking new patients. Dr. Draoui in another practice associated with the hospital is in September. Does anyone have any experience with her? I searched but her name didn't come up. Thanks |

| I interviewed her and liked her although ended up with another practice closer to my home. She is in a practice with Dr. Downing who is also well-known and great. I liked her a lot, she was patient and straightforward. I also have another friend who goes there and likes them a lot. |

| Dr. Draoui is wonderful. She is incredibly competent, professional, and compassionate without being intrusive. I have been her patient for over 10 years, and she has been there with me through some incredibly difficult issues. I cannot say enough good things about her. The only downside is that she seems really busy, so you spend a lot of time waiting unless you are able to secure a slot early in the day. |

| She is my ob and I really like her as well. This is my first pregnancy and she has been great, does ultrasounds at every visit and had told me to write down any questions/concerns that I might have so I won't forget anything. She is very busy but I find the wait times are hit or miss. She delivers at WHC also and let me know that it will only be attendings that deliver in their practice. |

| Dr. Draoui delivered my son. I was a pt of Dr. Downing's at the time, but he was out of town. We hadn't even met her yet when we landed in the hospital unexpectedly at 37 weeks. She was wonderful. I had a complicated situation and she handled it all calmly with diplomacy and excellent judgment. Thanks to her, both my son and I emerged from the delivery healthy and in good condition. In hindsight, it could have been very bad were it not for her keen decision-making. I ended up having to have a C-section. You cannot go wrong with the other doctors in that practice either. Downing did all my prenatal care and he is also great. I'll finish by saying that my delivery experience at WHC was also outstanding - excellent nursing care, very attentive staff, etc. The rooms are all private, too. Good luck to you! |
