If older child gets into GT/AAP and goes to that center- younger child logistics?

Anonymous
Hi- DC was accepted to GT/AAP and I'm concerned about logistics now.. it's not our base school so - would fcps be responsible for pick up? Also- our K son would attend another non GT/APP center- what happens then? Can we get them both at the same place? who would be responsible for transportation then? thanks so much!!

If you live within certain distance from the school, school bus will pick up your kid.

If space is available, your K son may have a chance to go to the same school, but not likely.

Go to different schools until your K son get accepted to AAP.

It's not easy -- especially if the 2 schools have the same bell schedule (which my kids' do). We can never do kiss and ride because the other kid needs to be met at the bus. It works out, though, for the most part.

World gives you options and choices.
You need to make decisions.

Congratulations on your oldest being accepted into AAP!

Your questions are great ones to ask the center school. Why don't you call them?

If the school can accept your K child, problem solved. If not, then it's time to start figuring out bus schedules, drop off, pick up, and all that fun stuff until you find out if your K child is eligible for AAP in 3 years.

Good Luck!
