Does anyone have any experiences with Crystal City Children's Center, good or bad? Any info is appreciated. |
My 2-yr old goes to CCCC and has been there since she was 5 or 6 months. Overall like the place and have not had any major issues. The facility is tucked away in first floor of an apartment complex. Hours are 7 to 6pm. Is run as a parent coop; there is a board made up by the parents. Has had a very good center director since we have used the center but she is leaving at the end of this year. There are various rooms for the infants, toddlers and up to pre-school.
For any day care you consider you can check them with dss for violations and such http://www.dss.state.va.us/facility/search/licensed.cgi |
Thanks for the response! Are they better at infants or older? Or, same all the way through? |
To the person who included the link above to the state, - How do you feel about the violation info listed for CCCC? This doesn't seem encouraging to me. |
In looking through the violations, it seems that all centers I checked have them. That is not encouraging at all. |
As someone that does training for childcare centers (over 100 and counting) there are very few that get away with zero inspections. Look at the complaints section to see if someone called the state on them. Be sure to drill down on the complaint to see if it was founded or unfounded. Sometimes an upset parent or employee will call and the state will not find anything. For me personally if you see mutiple violations with ratio issues that would raise a red flag. Good Luck! |
