| Does anyone have a reliable auto repair service you can recommend for Subarus in DC/NVA/MD? Thanks. |

I LOVE my mechanic, Mohammed, at New Concept Auto Repair. It's at Rhode Island and 5th NE. Phone is 832-6720. He works on all imports. He's honest, resourceful, and usually pretty speedy.
Fair warning: it's not a very pretty shop... typical chain-link fenced lot, big dog, etc. But he's been working on both our cars as long as we've been in DC, and we've always been pleased with the results. |

Get it done right, Bethesda Import Auto, Butler Rd, Bethesda -- Ask for Mike, (the owner) good, honest, won;t take you for a ride, like the dealer. |
| Have had nothing but great experiences at Japanese Auto Clinic on Lee Highway in Arlington. They are exceptionally honest, fast and do a great job. Everyone I know who uses them has had a good experience (and we all drive from far corners of the DC area to go there). |
| Tom Harvey at Hollin Hall Auto in Alexandria. |

Check out the cartalk.com (click and clack guys) and type in your zip code for recommended auto repair shops in your area.
1996 Subaru Outback owner: Just got done replacing the power steering pump, the hoses and belts that got power steering fluid leaked all over, and a cracked CV at AK Auto in Fairfax. Abe was nice - texted updates and emailed digital photos of the work (couldn't believe it!). |
