Is there a "near VitaMix" option for a blender?

I don't have $400 for a re-conditioned VitaMix, let alone $600 for warrantied new one.

However I absolutely require something that will liquify greens into 1000% smooth juice. The $85 Oster does not.

Does anyone own a mid-range blender option who can personally vouch that your blender will liquify greens (and similar) in a minute, +/-?

Why are you spending that much on a new Vitamix? I purchased mine at costco for $300 and some change. I would NEVER pay $600. I think the $600 one you are referencing is the one that comes with a TON of IMO, unnecessary options.

I must say I love my Vitamix. It sits on my counter and I use it daily. My kids eat so many greens they shit green. We go through a Costco size portion of spinach a week. I can easily create an entire balanced meal in my Vitamix.

I hear the Blendex (or whatever it is called) is similar.
