| I hired a cleaning service today that I have never used before and I literally would not know they came except it smelled slightly fresher in the house when I walked in and they changed the sheets I left out for them. Perhaps my expectations are too high and I need to modify them but when I got a cleaning lady in the past -the house was spotless, any dishes that were left in the sink were cleaned, the shelves were dusted, things were picked up, etc. we are not messy people and always pick up before they come and literally nothing was dusted. |

Call the service and talk to them about it. Dusting is a given, although many services don't dust or vacuum anything they can't reach.
My service gives a very detailed list of what they do, so I know whether they did it. |
| My service always dusts, cleans and tidies everything, changes sheets, washes dishes. Just wish I could afford for them to come every week! Huff n' Puff cleaners is the name of the service. |

I expect dusting, although I don't know if it always happens, and cleaning the floors (vacuum, mop, etc.) and bathrooms.
We used to have a someone who changed the sheets but the current people don't (although they will make the bed and I haven't tried leaving clean sheets out for them). They do dishes in the sink and I almost wish they didn't because the dishes are only there if the dishwasher was clean at breakfast time. |

Mine dusts, but she dusts for a household with no children (meaning the dust is gone but the fingerprints are often left behind). She doesn't do well with cleaning the bathrooms. She does a fantastic job on my floors, all hardwoods, which is the primary reason why I have a cleaner in the first place.
But's she's super nice and honest, which is why I won't get rid of her. |
| A cleaning service should dust. |
