Can those obsessed with absolutely everything being tacky find a new word to cry out at every post, at least temporarily?
And no, I'm not posting this as a "hit dog." It's just that whenever someone asks for an opinion on DCUM, they are either asking if it's tacky or they are told that it's tacky. |
| Vulgar. |
| This thread is so tacky. |
| Personally, I find "tacky" much less objectionable than people constantly referring to other posters as "Bitch." Now that I have written this I know that someone here will feel compelled to call me Bitch, but not to worry I have my big girl panties on so I can handle it. |

I'm pretty obsessed with it in real life, not just here. I'm often apalled at how tacky/vulgar/tasteless/cheap/garish/etc some people are.

OP here.
I vote for vulgar. Tacky-obsessed DCUMers (I'd guess that's about 70% of you) please use vulgar instead throughout the holiday season. It's more amusing. |
| We Southerners prefer "trashy." Preferably said with a real drawl -- "traaashy." |
| Isn't it tacky to start flame wars on DCUM, or squabble over private schools on DCUM, instead of more high-minded pursuits like reading Tolstoy? So that by definition, we're all of us tacky. |
| english is my second language and the word tacky works just fine for me. |
No, it's not tacky, it's provincial. Tacky is something different altogether. |
I'm confused. Are you saying it's not tacky to start flame wars on DCUM, as long as you're a SAHM living in the suburbs? |
Nope. You forgot "common." |
