My MIL recently had surgery and will be unable to cook for herself in the next few months. I've been preparing foods for her as much as I can, but it's a little challenging wihle working full-time and taking care of our toddler. We want to look into those companies that provide prepared meals for delivery and wanted to ask if anyone recommends one.
You say you've been preparing foods, but has your husband also? You are both working full-time and it's his mother, so he ought to help prepare meals as much as, or more than, you.
OP here, no he hasn't because I'm the cook in the family. We've already divided up the responsibilities, but I can't keep up with the cooking.

I've heard of personal chefs that make meals and deliver them to clients--I would try googling that + your geographic location
also, how much help does she need? could she work a microwave for instance? if so, maybe freeze small batches of different dishes that she could defrost overnight & microwave |
If you are in NoVa Dinner Done is great and they have free delivery.
Try your local Meals on Wheels. I deliver for them and the food looks reasonably good. I deliver to many high end parts of Arlington so it is not for "the poors."
