| The grocery stores are all sorely lacking in the pie department. Wegman's isn't bad though. Who else? I had heard in the past about a place in Occoquan that is popular? Costco's pies are good, but they are not unique and they seem kind of industrial for something as special as a holiday meal. |

The place in Occoquan is Mom's Apple Pie Company: http://www.momsapplepieco.com/locations/ . Their pies are pretty good, but not as good as I was hoping.
The best pies I have ever eaten came from High Hill Country Store in Round Hill, VA. I think I am going to make the drive from Springfield, VA this weekend to buy some of these pies for Thanksgiving. They are worth the drive. Soooo good! |
