told that I was 50% effaced but not dilated at all in week 36 -anyone else with similar experience?

am hoping to make it to at least week 39 - does being 50% effaced at week 36 mean the baby will be coming pretty soon/early or is this normal? am guessing it is as I am not dilated at all? any similar stories?

I think that's normal. I have been 50% effaced and 1 cm dilated since 36 weeks and I'm now 39 weeks and nothing has changed. My dr said it's not an indication that you'll go into labor early. Just means your Braxton Hicks are doing their job of getting you ready for labor.

I do not know if it really means much. Unfortunately, I do not think there are any hard and fast rules.

I was 100% effaced and 3 cm for 3 weeks. Good Luck.
