Where to order Thanksgiving meal?

Anonymous
My in-laws moved away recently, and after years of having Thanksgiving dinner at their house, we are on our own this year. My DW is disabled, and I don't cook very well. Any recommendations on places to order a Thanksgiving meal for 5 or 6? How far in advance must the order be placed?

Thanks

I ordered mine from Giant. I had heard great things about their dinner and decided to give it a try. It was $50.00 for a service for six.

We get ours from Whole Foods. Obviously pricier than Giant, but very good!

I think Wegman's does this- I got their Holiday catalog in the mail and some of their stuff looked pretty good!

we order ours from whole foods. last year i decided to give giant a try and was extremely disappointed. i called husband from giant and told him that we had an emergency. the food was incredibly processed (bob evans mashed potatoes, bob evans green bean casserole.) the pie was good. while WF is more expensive, it's worth it.

I second Boston Market. I thought my Dad was CRAZY to do it a few years ago, but it was seriously yummy!

We order ours from Cracker Barrel and thought it was good value. I think you have to order the week before.

Whole Foods Thanksgiving does not taste good, though it may look pretty. I'd look at the Honey Baked Ham store.

Wherever you order from make sure you know what you are getting...fully cooked or just prepared....you don't want to pick it up and find out you have to still warm everything up or cook the bird. I would suggest boston market though..you cannot go wrong!

I very highly recommend Mrs. Kay's Toll House restaurant in Silver Spring. We got it last year...AMAZING!

Whole Foods is terrible. And not cheap. We ordered it last year because we had a lot of family over and I was 8 mos. pregnant so didn't feel like being on my feet cooking. We were highly disappointed with the quality of almost everything.

Chicken Out does one. Forget the cost.
