Lentils in the Crockpot? Not Soup

I'm looking to consolidate my brown lentil cook time.

How do you prepare brown lentils int he crockpot? I like mine pretty mushy. I do lentils over rice, not soup. How much water, high or low? How long?

I will sauté my veggies first in a pan and will add my pork towards the end...whenever the end is after you all tell me!

Sounds like more work to me--lentils don't take long to cook, so I would just add them to the veggies and pork on the stove.
