Curious to know if the over 50s find this funny. I am 50 and I found it funny. I would do that to my kids, they have to know that I have the potential to trick them and that I could have eaten it and that I play games. No big deal.

I thought it was a riot. I would totally do something like that and when my kids figured out I was tricking them, they would think it's funny too. But then, in our family we play lots of practical jokes.

It was funny, but the last two brothers were just adorable!

I'm 50 and I thought it was funny (as did my teenagers, who already told me about it). My brother and I did something similar to our mom twice when we were teenagers. Once, after she had slaved over a beautiful batch of Christmas cookies, we hid them and left a few broken ones in the box to make it look like we'd eaten them all in one night. She fell for it, but luckily she was a good sport. Another time we hid her cigarettes. That one did not amuse her. (RIP, Mom -- she quit when she was 50 but died 10 years later of lung cancer).
