| Please help. I love the mint cilantro and I think mango chutney but not sure it's mango - it's red sauce and something round in it like nut with flesh. I assume it's mango chutney, but may be it,s not. For those of you experts in indian / south Asian cuisine please help me with naming this chutney and any recommendations on where I could buy it from. |

| What about making it at home? |
| Could be tamarind chutney which is tangy. |
| Check out Virginia Chutney Company. You can find it at Whole Foods. The spicy peach is fantastic on anything from a cracker with cheese to chicken. |
Check out your closest Indian grocery store. Swad brand sandwich spread is one of the best mint cilantro chutney. It does not have any funny aftertaste. About the mango chutney, look at what is avilable as pickles (Indian pickles are not like American pickles, they are more like chutney) in the store. You will very likely find what you are looking. |

Try the only 7 fruit chutney on the market . " McNulty's 7 Fruit Chutney " it was my grandmothers recipe and we bottled it for the world to taste. It has gotten rave reviews but most important is the authenticity maintained in the original recipe. Absolutely no preservatives, additives. natural just like it was straight from grandmothers kitchen. you can buy it on line at www.foodzie.com or email : info@mcnultyschutney.com
its the most "versatile condiment on the market. Check out the recipes and servings suggests on the website www.mcnultyschutney.com |
| Coriander chutney (what you call mint cilantro) is easy to make at home, as are other chutneys. For non-Indian applications I like the Virginia Chutney Company brand that a PP recommended. The spicy plum is delicious. |
| There are a thousand Indian grocery stores in Montgomery County and in Virginia. Just google Patel Brothers or "Indian Grocery" and you'll find a ton. Or look in the ethnic aisle of your grocery store. My crappy DC grocery store has chutneys. |
| Thanks a lot everyone. This is wonderful. I realized what I am looking for is pickled mango, not mango chutney. Will google the stores you mention. |
