Thoughts on Family Academy of Bethesda?

Anonymous
My infant is ready to either start daycare or have a nanny.

I am stuck between choosing between hiring a nanny or sending him to Family Academy of Bethesda.

Does anyone have any thoughts on which might be a better option? Experiences with FAB?

I will choose any licensed daycare than nanny. Ask for parent reference.

I didn't write the post about choosing daycare over a nanny, but I agree with it.

For me it is a comfort level. Do bad things happen in daycares? Absolutely. But there is likely to be someone there to see it. And the fact that there are witnesses would limit people's willingness to do things that harm the children. With one person, any one person, watching my child, I would always be nervous.

We had the option of a nanny for our infant. Money really wasn't too much of an issue. But DH and I both agreed that we wanted the "security" of a daycare center.

We have 2 kids at FAB sice they were 6 weeks. We loved every teacher in the infant room ( they are still the same )
All teachers are caring ,loving ,nuturing and happy!
This I say as in some daycares the teachers don;t seem happy.! My older one is in the Montessori class and we are very happy overall.

the biggest problem with daycares is germs, imho. when our dd started daycare as an infant she was sick for pretty much three months straight. of course we still had to pay for the day care but we also had to pay for a nanny so we could go to work. it was a nightmare. now she's a little older and is still sick about once every other week which is still really inconvenient for work but she likes the social aspect of it so much that we would be sad to take her out.
