plant-based breakfast

If you eat a mostly plant-based diet, what do you eat for breakfast?

Grapefruit, hummus spread on cucumbers.

steel cut oats, topped with walnuts and sour cherries

steel-cut oatmeal with sliced almonds and raisins

smoothie with fruit and lots of greens (spinach, kale, etc.) and some protein powder (I use a dairy-based protein but there are alternatives like pea protein)

Can you make a smoothie with greens using an ordinary blender? The greens are raw I assume.

Thanks all!

You can put the greens in a regular blender, just make sure there is a little liquid or you will need to pulse a bit then stir, pulse, stir until it gets going. I've seen a lot of recipes with greens, frozen fruit and either a little juice or milk whether it's cow, soy, hemp, rice, etc...

I'm this poster and I just use a regular blender for my smoothies. Greens are no problem. I don't get the super smoothest results with ice or frozen bananas but it's adequate.

OP here, thank you all! I've taken the green smoothie plunge and I love it.

Best thus far: banana, apple, kale, a little yogurt.
