You used to be quite religious, hence Noah and Leah, but then joined a playgroup and became friends with this mom who has tattoos and is an atheist and a lot of what she said really spoke to you. Plus you were SO OVER everyone always giving Noah two of every stuffed animal. So by the time Gabriella came around you refused the pressure to name her Sarah or Rachel or another biblical name. Gabriella is such a prissy name, but she's your sporty girl - sometimes she even beats Noah when they're racing. Leah just wants to play dolls and color. All day, every day. You're not friends with that atheist mom any more - she only has one kid and was always trying to pawn hers off on you by saying "Hey, what's one more when you already have three, right?" But you're glad she made you more open-minded. You didn't start worrying Noah was gay when he happily played dolls with Leah all afternoon. Somehow all this open-mindedness has made you more adventurous sexually and you initiate now, when you never did before. Your husband loves it, though he wonders what kinds of friends you're keeping these days. But he's too busy with that prick Jerry at work who is always trying to claim credit for his reports to worry too much. |
