Only a person with so much privilege they can’t conceive how being a poor teen mom struggling to survive after sexual assault isn’t all butterflies and rainbows or someone who’s truly broken inside would say such things. I hope she loses that privilege and the rest of her life is exactly what she deserves.

“Truly broken” is how I would describe forced birthers. There have already been multiple public examples of the dangers and monstrosity their politics present women (and girls) and they’re just looking away through unfocused, unfocusing eyes.

Sadists. That is what these forced birthers are.

This is 100% about controlling women. As a group we have become too powerful and need to be put back into our place. If these politicians really cared about women and babies, their policies would reflect this. But they don’t.

Even if you are anti- abortion, you need to vote against these policies and remove these crazies from office.

For the policy to even be reasonable, they need to also look into womens access to contraceptives, issues contributing to lack of access in poor and rural areas

Oh they will be looking into our access to contraceptives alright. Remember this?

So now if an 11-year old wants an abortion, she has to prove the sex wasn't consensual. How do I get on an Arizona jury?

That’s from 2012 so not exactly a recent example. They are definitely coming for birth control, but this example isn’t the best example.

Ha! When he said she should be having this conversation with her doctor I almost lost it. It's beyond absurd.

Me too. And the staffer is so clearly grossed out by the conversation; no one has ever discussed discharge or spotting with him and he finds the idea repellent. I bet the idiot doesn’t understand that he told on himself.

Right. I can imagine him wondering, "what does a uterus or bleeding have to do with abortions? Uteruses are lady business."

He’s just so grossed out and doesn’t understand her point even though he makes it for her.

This is Epic - maybe a recorded phone drive will be great.

Discussing birth control is a felony in idaho? That is completely ridiculous.

Yep. It's a disgrace.

https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/2022/09/26/u-idaho-may-stop-providing-birth-control-under-new-abortion-law/

The University of Idaho’s general counsel issued new guidance on Friday about the state’s near-total abortion ban, alerting faculty and staff that the school should no longer offer birth control for students, a rare move for a state university.

University employees were also advised not to speak in support of abortion at work. If an employee appears to promote abortion, counsel in favor of abortion, or refer a student for an abortion procedure, they could face a felony conviction and be permanently barred from all future state employment, according to an email obtained by The Washington Post.

^^^ Yikes! That is scary! I hope all high school seniors see this and skip applying to Univ. of Idaho. My daughter is a high school senior and we dropped Ohio State off the list.
