10 year anniversary trip--ideas?

Anonymous
DW and I celebrating 10 years next summer. We hardly every get away, just the two of us, but would like to do something for our anniversary. Perhaps 5 nights or so. Most ideal would be something that does not take a very long time to get to--would be great if the flight was direct. Relaxation and adventure sounds good, but also fine with just relaxation. Resort locale/spa sounds good.

No to Mexico. We've been to a few places in the caribbean, but not against returning. Not interested in a cruise. Potentially Europe.

We have tons of miles and points that will ideally be using, so I'm not overly concerned with cost.

Any ideas/suggestions?

Paris is a direct flight and for 5 nights I would definitely consider it if you have never been there. Montreal and Quebec is another option for a shorter flight but still a European feel. Napa would be another choice. Have fun!

I would go directly to a resort, maybe Sandals, in the Caribbean, or maybe the Bahamas one. Short flight. Water, sun, drinks, relaxation.

Ha-I was coming here to suggest Barcelona. I went years ago and have always wanted to go back. DH and I watched a globetrekker episode about it last night and now he's hyped up to go too. Great architecture, art, beaches. And amazing paella! Something for everyone.

For our 10 year we are also going to do Spain, but we are probably going to do Madrid and the south rather than Barcelona.

Other suggestions-- Belize or Costa Rica?

We are doing Coco Plum Island Resort in Belize.

Where did you go on your honeymoon? We recently went back to where we went (USVI) for our 15th and had a blast. For 10 we went to Vegas (we've never been) and renewed our vows just for something totally not us. It ended up not being very much fun, so I was glad to go back to someplace we knew we liked for the 15th.
