TTC, but still CM

Anonymous
I don't get it, maybe I am over thinking or just plain misinterpreting.
I'm 14 mo. post partem and still no period. But it seems like our TTC attempts are futile since there is still CM the next day, etc. which, from my understanding, means that you could still be fertile. So...TTC attempt didn't work else there wouldn't be any CM, correct, or is this flawed logic?

We're so desperate and anxious to have #2 that any words of wisdom are greatly appreciated.

Are you breastfeeding? You have to keep in mind that CM takes a while to work its way out. I always had the largest amounts the day AFTER I ovulated. Are you checking anything else (like temp, OPKs) to be sure that ovulation has already happened?

You might be having your menses but not ovulating - hence the extended production of CM. Are you doing full-charting (with CM, temp, etc.)?

OP here - no, stopped BFing two months ago - do you think I should go see a doctor?

Does checking your temp. work if you haven't had a menstural cycle to base it on?

2 months after breast feeding isn't long enough to be concerned. For some women it takes longer to get back in gear. If you are older and time is of the essence, call the doctor. Otherwise, if you can stand it, wait another month or two.
