My thoughts exactly. If you are real, I'd fire you for posting something like that. Shady.

And if it were a real PR person, both parties involved should terminate all contact immediately as this is completely unprofessional.

Which of course, is why I don't believe it's a real PR person either. Not even close. But nice try to get more followers.

OP PR Girl here... there is literally NOTHING shady in what I posted. Not a damn thing. If you think crisis and tabloid publicists across the board don't have their interns frequent forums like this and other ones, you're naive. Especially if our potential clients are local celebrities and we want to know more about what people are thinking, saying, and speculating. It helps us know how to phrase certain parts of our statement, what (if anything) should be stressed or emphasized more, and what (if anything) should be avoided. Forums like this one allow us to keep our fingers on the pulse while learning the peculiarities of a particular audience.

Also, many of us (or our staff) will let "heavily invested" folks know where they should focus their attention so that when a statement is made, it can be read and shared quickly to put an end to nonsense being shared or speculated about.

Brush up and learn modern day PR techniques that are implemented across the board by the celebrities you so frequently fawn over and whose lives you love to dissect before attacking someone merely telling you that what comes next will not be on a blog or Instagram but a statement by an industry pro via Twitter.

You do realize that if this was a ploy for more followers, a link to MY social media accounts would have been included, right?

Total bull on "Potomac PR Girl". Good thing both N & P frequent this forum so if this PR girl is real they'll fire her ASAP. Completely unprofessional. I don't doubt that PR people don't check stuff like this out but they certainly don't post that they "probably" will be retained. But thank you for giving life back to the thread.

You said above, and I quote: "I'm also fairly easy to find on social media with the information I've provided in this post, and should I be retained, that's where you'll first hear about it." So yes, I do think it's a ploy for you and/or for the people involved. You do realize no professional, especially someone working in the media, would be allowed to release a statement via TWITTER? That's so funny I can't even type anything else.

"Here's a statement in 140 characters or less, that should do it!"

I'm no expert...but I'm pretty sure that's not how "industry pros" respond. You are on the defensive after like 2 replies to your statement lmao... Pretty sure if you are who you say you are, you wouldn't have even bothered with a follow up defense...

Unless Kane is earning a whole lot less than we all speculated and this is all he could afford lol

Add "XOXO" and I'm convinced you are Dan Humphrey.

Not every explanation someone provides is them being defensive. And releasing a statement on Twitter DOES NOT indicate your entire statement will be made in 140 characters or less - you can make a statement pointing your fans + followers to a link w/ the full statement. Similar to a press release. It's done every day.

Uh...seemed pretty defensive to me...telling us to read up on PR strategies and telling us we fawn over celebrities? Regardless of who is right/wrong it comes off as derogatory and Imo is a very poor choice of words.

Doing a quick Google search, it is possible that the PR person (if that is legit) works for one of these:
